Multimedia projects “Memory” contest finalists:

The finalist’s works and special program of multimedia projects will be demonstrated on 29th of May at 19-30 in Centre of Contemporary Art M17: Kyiv, Gorkogo (Antonovicha) str., 102-104 (metro station «Palats Ukrayina»).
Conditions of participation
To enter the contest, you have to submit no later than March 31, 2013 a media movie up to 250 seconds, consisting of photographs, video, text, audio and united by a common idea and corresponding to the given topic.
Contest theme: “Memory”
Competitive project may involve a visual representation of traces of time, interpretation of their values, personal and public archival memory research, body’s memory and other related aspects of the topic.
Competitive project should be accompanied by the obligatory indication of authorship of the project and the materials used in the project. Competition project has to be submitted as a link to an online resource where it can be downloaded. Submission of the media projects should be accompanied by a description of the project, and information about the author. Each participant may submit only one project.

Technical requirements for the files
Media project should have a resolution of 1280×720 (or higher), 16×9 viewing format, video format MPG-2 (compression MPG-2), or AVI (Kodak – cinepack, XVid, high quality).
Opening date: 01.01.2013.
Jury: Alexander Lyapin (photographer, photo critic, curator, lecturer), Vasyl Cherepanin (director of the Center for Visual Culture), Catherine Vashtalova (organizer of the International video art and short film festival “VAU Fest”), Natalia Shpitkovskaya (Head of Contemporary Art Centre M17).
Closing date: 31.03.2013.
On 15th of April, 2013 the short-list of participants of multimedia contest will be announced, the show opening on 26 May 2013 in the framework of the festival “Visions.”
After the announcement of the short-list, the selected participants should provide the files in high resolution to prepare a program of multimedia displays and demonstrations at the Festival.
Finalist will be announced after the end of the Festival multimedia program screening. Finalist is entitled to a personal project in the next Festival.
